Spiritual Autobiography/Memoir Writing Circles Instructor/Group Facilitator

Join Red Dot Mum Wellness’s transformative well-being program, facilitated by Cindy (group facilitator), where expressive writing meets therapeutic expressive activities and support

Purpose: To enhance the psychological well-being of carers and increase self-compassion

Objective: To enhance individual and familial well-being through the lifespan

Mission: As a psychosocial educator and mental health therapist, Ms. Cindy leads and facilitates Guided Autobiography Writing(GAB), a group work support group circle dedicated to Reminiscence, Life Review, and Narrative Therapy

Participants will experience:

  • Guided Autobiographical Writing (GAB): Developed by Dr. James Birren over the past 40 years, GAB helps people document their life stories. Participants explore their unique life experiences through expressive writing topics like family, money, health, gender identity, death and dying, spiritual life, values, goals, and career aspirations.
  • Narrative Therapy: Participants uncover their evolving selves within a supportive circle of equals. Narrative therapy allows for reflection, insights, and personal growth.
  • Carl Rogers Encounter Group Approach: This person-centred evidence-based approach encourages unconditional positive regard for expressions and documenting life stories and journeys. It fosters connection and self-awareness with self and within the group.
  • Confidential Circles: A circle of equals fosters a private space for discussions, conversations and well-meaning lessons and takeaways.
  • 📚 Themes & Mini-Lessons: Dive into activities related to creative ageing, human development and psychology

Outcome: Amongst many learning outcomes, participants evaluate writing recounts to construct life goals and memoirs (Bloom’s Taxonomy: Cognitive ~ Knowledge)
